POS Terminal - Admin Mode
The admin mode allows the setup of the POS setup. When admin mode is selected (by clicking on the Select Mode button) the control pane changes to show the following options:
Receipt Printer
Click on the Receipt Printer button to setup the receipt printer. On doing so you will be presented with a choice:
To edit the settings for all terminals select Edit default receipt. To edit the settings for this terminal only select Edit receipt for this terminal only. Revert to default receipt will set this terminal back to the default (shared) settings. In each cash the printer device is terminal specific, only the receipt contents change.

Cash Drawer
Select this button to setup a cash drawer trigger. This will display a dialog (as below) which allow you select a device for the trigger.
If no potential devices are found these settings will be disabled.

Use these settings to configure the serial port to match your trigger. If USB based then the default settings are normally ok. |
Open Drawer
When a cash drawer is configured this button is enabled to test the operation of the cash drawer
Set Organisation
Select this button to select the organisation that the terminal is registered to. This button is normally disabled as there is normally only 1 organisation. The organisation, facility and location are recorded against all transactions.
Set Facility
Select this button to select the facility that the terminal is located in. This button is disabled if no facilities have been setup in the admin tool. The organisation, facility and location are recorded against all transactions.
Set Location
Select this button to select the location that the terminal is located in. The organisation, facility and location are recorded against all transactions.
Clear State
The Clear State button clears the current state of the terminal and prompts for the current size of the cash float.
Show State
The Show State button shows the current state of the terminal which includes the total of all transaction since the state was last cleared and also shows how much cash should be present.
