SongLeader - Operation
Selecting the display profile
- Click on the desired profile from the buttons or click on the Profile button to select from the full list
- The song display changes to match the selected profile
- The selected profile remains active until a new profile is selected or the profile is deleted
Creating a new song set
- Click on the New button
- Save changes to the current song set if prompted and required
- Click on Add Song to select a song to be added to the song list
- Repeat this until the song set is ready
Saving a song set
- Click on the Save button (or Save As to save under a new name)
- If prompted enter the name of the song set
- The song set is saved in a file
Loading a song set
- Click on the Load button
- Select the song set from the file list
- The song set is loaded and transmitted to all followers
Adding a song
- Click on the Add Song button
- Select the song from the file list
- The song is added to the end of the song list and transmitted to all followers
Removing a song
- Select a song in the song list
- Click on the Delete Song button
- The song is removed from the song list and all followers
Change the Song Order
- Keyboard
- Select a song in the song list
- Use the up and down arrow keys whilst holding down the shift key to move a song up or down the list
- Mouse
- Click on a song in the song list and drag it to the desire location using the left mouse button
Transposing a song
- Click on a song in the song list
- Click on the transpose up or transpose down button. Each click transposes the song by a semi-tone up or down.
- Transpose events are transmitted to all followers so that all musicians stay in sync
- Transpose settings are saved in the song set and will be re-loaded when the set is next loaded
Adjusting the Capo position
- This only works when chords are displayed
- Click on a song in the song list
- Click on the transpose up or transpose down button.
- Each click moves the capo position up or down by 1 position
- You cannot move the capo into a negative position
- You cannot move the capo beyond the 12th fret
- Capo settings are local only and are not transmitted to the followers
- Capo settings are saved in the song set and will be re-loaded when the set is next loaded
