Message Styles
On this page the colours, fonts and backgrounds can be set for various conditions.
The style/condition is selected from the drop-down box and a sample of the text is shown in the sample box below it. The style can then be changed by clicking on the Font, Text Colour and Background Colour buttons. Please note that not all buttons are enabled for each style.
Function Key Mapping
This tab allows you to select locally defined key-mapping or to use centrally defined mapping. If local mapping is used you can define the map of function key to transaction code by double-clicking on a given entry.
Receipt Printer
The AutoClub software allows the use of a Receipt printer if one is attached. These are often attached using a serial cable and therefore do not have standard printer drivers - consequently they will not appear in the Printers section under Control Panel.
This tab allows you to set a receipt printer for use with the FrontGate module. To enable the use of a receipt printer you must tick the Use receipt printer if available box. It is advised to also tick the Receipt printer is shared with other applications if more than one program on the computer will use the printer.
Next you should press the Select Printer Device button which will allow you to define how the printer is connected.
You will need to match the settings on your device to make this work. Once this is set correctly you should select the Printer Model that matches your model. If you cannot find a match please contact SwiftTec support for help.
The Header Text defines the text that is printed at the start of each receipt. The Footer Text defines the text that is printed at the bottom of each receipt.
Any lines starting with a # are not printed but are scanned for operatives that change the way the text appears
- standard - use a standard font
- condensed - use a condensed font
- wide - use a wide font
- high - use a double height font
- bold - use a bo.d font
- italic - use an italic font
- reverse - use a reversed font (white on black)
The actual output will depend on the abilities of your printer.
